Foundation is retained responsibility for the website as a business asset. Not just hosting. Not a basic maintenance plan. Not a support contract you only use when something breaks. One operator is responsible for building it, managing it, and keeping it accurate, reliable and useful after launch. The point is simple: your team stops carrying the website as an internal burden.
That means two layers of work running together. The first is practical website management: content updates, page amendments, supplied image integration, project and case study additions, on-site SEO structure, metadata maintenance, enquiry-path review, and agreed improvements that keep the site current.
The second is technical operations: hosting, DNS, TLS, infrastructure, security hardening, monitoring, recovery readiness, and incident handling. The operational layer is what makes the website management reliable.
Every retained engagement begins with a rebuild. Dettogni takes your existing website, rebuilds it on controlled static infrastructure, hosts it, and manages it end-to-end. No inherited risk. No legacy debt. A clean start is part of what you are paying for.

Foundation is a 24-month commitment at £1,400 per month. For the commercial maths to work in your favour, one new client acquired through the site should cover the majority of the retainer. That places the natural audience at businesses with substantial average client value.
In practice, that means specialist contractors and construction practices, architects, dental and private clinics, law firms and specialist legal practices, consultancies, boutique professional services, and any business where a single engagement is worth well into five figures.
The industry does not decide fit. The client value does. If one new customer through the site pays for most of the 24 months, Foundation is commercially rational. If not, Dettogni will say so at discovery.
Small businesses, cafes, local retail and sole traders are served separately through Keep by Dettogni, which is priced and structured for that audience.

The fair question about any single-operator service is how easily you can leave. Nothing is locked to Dettogni. Every site is a static build held in version control, the infrastructure is documented, and the handover procedure is written into the contract from day one. If you leave, every DNS and email record is handed to you within two working days, and the site files follow once the account is settled. That is deliberate: an asset that holds you hostage is not an asset.

Dettogni does not inherit unknown systems. Before retained management begins, the website is rebuilt onto infrastructure Dettogni understands completely. Your existing brand, content and structure are used as the baseline unless a wider rebuild scope is agreed. No inherited risk, no database dependency, no plugin surface. This is how Dettogni can confidently take responsibility for everything that follows.
Improve
Your website stays current without your team managing it
Text changes, page updates, practical copy amendments and routine content maintenance handled by Dettogni from supplied information or agreed direction. When your business changes, the website changes with it. Routine requests are reviewed promptly and handled according to scope, priority, and current operational load. Larger changes are scheduled or quoted before work begins.
New projects and proof stay visible
Project pages, case studies and portfolio updates drafted and built from supplied information, imagery, notes and client-approved details. The proof on your website stays current as the business wins and delivers new work.
Search structure is maintained as content evolves
Page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, schema markup, image alt text and internal linking maintained as content changes. New pages built with on-site search structure in mind. Google Search Console is reviewed regularly so technical search issues are caught and fixed. This is website-level SEO hygiene, not a full SEO campaign, backlink programme or content marketing strategy unless separately agreed.
Supplied images are integrated properly
Photography and imagery processed, optimised and integrated into project pages, service pages, and across the site. Images compressed, correctly formatted and served through the CDN.
The enquiry path keeps working
Contact forms tested, calls to action reviewed, and the route from visitor to enquiry checked and kept clean. The site is verified as a working commercial tool, not just a live web page.
The site improves after launch, not just at launch
Practical improvements agreed within the retained scope are implemented as the business develops, new proof becomes available, or the site needs refinement. The aim: the site stays accurate, useful and credible over time.

Your site runs on infrastructure Dettogni builds, hosts, and operates. Continuous automated monitoring watches availability around the clock and routes alerts to the operator the moment something is wrong. Recovery is a version rollback measured in seconds.
Domains and certificates stay under control
DNS and TLS are managed centrally so expired certificates, orphaned records, and inconsistent routing do not become business problems. Provisioned, renewed, and verified inside controlled infrastructure.
The security baseline is maintained
Infrastructure configuration reviewed against current standards. Unnecessary exposure removed. Security headers, access controls, and edge protections kept at a defensible baseline.
Recovery is known before something breaks
Recovery is not assumed to work. It is tested. Every site is recoverable from version control in seconds. Recovery procedures documented, accessible, and rehearsed before they are needed.
Third-party services are not forgotten
If the website depends on forms, scripts, booking links, CRM endpoints, analytics, or external services, those dependencies are recorded and reviewed as part of operating the site.

Foundation keeps the website current, accurate, useful and technically operated. It does not replace a marketing agency, sales team, advertising partner or content production department.

Google Ads, Meta Ads, paid social, display campaigns, and PPC management are marketing agency functions. They are not part of the retained scope.

Social media content creation, posting schedules, community management, and platform strategy fall outside the website management scope.

Cold email, outbound sales campaigns, and lead-generation programmes are sales functions, not website management responsibilities.

Foundation includes on-site SEO structure, metadata maintenance, schema, headings and internal linking. It does not include backlink outreach, content marketing campaigns, technical SEO audits at enterprise scale, or guaranteed ranking outcomes unless agreed separately.

Unlimited brand photography
Dettogni integrates and optimises supplied photography. Commissioning, directing, and producing original brand photography is a separate engagement if required.

Internal IT, devices, and end-user support
Laptops, email accounts, productivity software, internal networks, and staff support fall outside the website management remit. Dettogni does not act as an MSP.

Custom web application development, complex integrations, and bespoke functionality beyond the static site scope are quoted separately if required.

Dettogni provides operational and technical context that informs compliance decisions but does not act as a regulatory authority, auditor, or legal advisor.
Where work falls outside the retained scope, it is quoted separately before being carried out. The boundary is written down so both sides know what is included before work begins.

Every retained engagement runs on controlled static infrastructure that Dettogni builds, hosts, and operates directly. This is the operational foundation underneath the website management, content work, and ongoing upkeep. The infrastructure is what makes the retained responsibility technically credible. Clients onboard into controlled, accountable infrastructure from day one, and offboard cleanly if they ever choose to leave.
Authoritative DNS under controlled management
Nameservers, records, and TTLs operated inside infrastructure that Dettogni controls, not negotiated with a previous provider.
DDoS and abuse absorbed at the network edge
Volumetric and abusive traffic is handled before it reaches the site. This baseline is on from day one and tightened for Revenue-Critical engagements.
Centralised TLS provisioning and renewal
Certificates issued, monitored, and renewed centrally. Manual certificate management is removed as a class of failure.
Web Application Firewall as a managed control
Centrally managed rulesets applied consistently and tuned per engagement. Emerging threats addressed across the client base, not site-by-site.

Onboarding
Signature starts the work
Work begins when the order form and contract are signed, with the rebuild as the onboarding phase. Billing starts when the rebuilt site goes live, with a pro-rata first payment. Retained management continues from go-live.
Offboarding
Documented from day one
When an engagement ends, the site goes offline but your DNS and email keep running while you move, and site files are released once all fees are paid. The exit plan exists before you sign.
Capacity
30 Foundation clients
Structural cap, not a marketing claim. When capacity is reached, it is closed. Revenue-Critical capacity is separate and reserved.
If Foundation is not enough
When downtime is
immediately financial.
Foundation is the correct product for professional businesses where a website outage is disruptive but recoverable. If your business operates where downtime or compromise causes immediate financial damage, reputational damage, or both, Revenue-Critical is the correct product instead.
Every responsibility from Foundation applies in full inside Revenue-Critical. Revenue-Critical adds an elevated operational standard on top: elevated incident priority, active situational awareness during failure, availability-first decision-making, tightened protection at the edge, and documented post-incident remediation. The capacity is capped at five clients, strictly enforced.
