Retained services
Website work,
delivered continuously.
Over a 24-month term, your business grows its search presence without paying for ads. Every month, agreed work is delivered against the site: new service pages, new project pages, content updates, technical improvements. The site compounds as an asset instead of ageing as a liability.
The model
Retained website management,
delivered as a continuous discipline,
not a one-off project.
Most websites are built once, then left to age. The business grows. New services are added. New projects are delivered. The website does not move. Six months in, the site no longer reflects the business. Twelve months in, it is actively working against it.
Dettogni retainers exist because that pattern is fixable, and the fix is structural: someone is responsible for the site every month for the length of the term. Not on-demand. Not when something breaks. Continuously.
Each month, the client receives a defined amount of website work agreed at the start of the term. That work may be new service pages, new project pages, content updates, technical improvements, or a mix. The output changes per business. The commitment does not.
The commercial outcome is compounding search presence. New pages built against real services, real postcodes, and real client work create the organic footprint that competes with paid advertising. The site earns visibility over the term, rather than paying for it every month indefinitely.
Who this is for
Businesses where one
new client covers most
of the term.
The test is simple: if one new client acquired through the site covers most of the 24-month retainer, the commercial maths works in your favour. In practice that means specialist contractors and construction practices, architects, dental and private clinics, law firms, consultancies, and any business where a single engagement is worth well into five figures. The industry does not decide fit. The client value does. If the maths does not work for you, Dettogni will say so at discovery.
Small businesses, cafes, local retail and sole traders are served separately through Keep by Dettogni, which is priced and structured for that audience.
Pick the tier that
matches your risk profile.
Both tiers include the build. Both run on a 24-month minimum. Both are managed by the same operator against the same standard. The difference is the operational threshold behind the site.
Retained Website Management
For professional businesses where the website represents the practice and needs to grow with it. Continuous monthly work against the site, backed by a controlled infrastructure baseline. The website compounds into a genuine search asset over the term.
£1,400/mo · 24-month minimum · Build included · + VAT 30 client maximum.
See Foundation in detail →Revenue-Critical Operations
For organisations where website downtime or compromise causes immediate financial damage, reputational damage, or both. Every responsibility from Foundation applies in full. Revenue-Critical adds an elevated operational standard behind it.
£2,500/mo · 24-month minimum · Build included · + VAT 5 client maximum. Strictly enforced.
See Revenue-Critical in detail →Not sure which tier fits? Discovery is the mechanism for that decision. It is a 20-minute call, it costs nothing, and it will produce a clear recommendation in either direction.
What the 24-month term buys
Not maintenance.
A compounding asset.
A £300/mo maintenance contract keeps a site alive. It does not grow it. It does not add pages. It does not build search structure. It does not own the infrastructure. When something breaks, the person answering has never seen the system before.
Foundation is a different product. Over 24 months, the site accumulates the work Dettogni delivers against it: real service pages, real project pages, refined structure, better search signals. At month 24, the site is not the same site with a fresh coat of paint. It is a materially larger, more accurate, better-ranking asset than it was at month one.
Alongside that, the infrastructure is owned end-to-end. Hosting, DNS, TLS certificates, backups, recovery, incident response. All of it is Dettogni's problem, not the client's team's problem. When something fails, the person responding is the person who built and operates the site.
At the end of the 24-month term, the engagement is reviewed. There is no automatic renewal, and no price lock in either direction. Both sides decide together whether the arrangement continues, adjusts, or ends cleanly.
The operator
Operated by a
named person,
not a queue.
Dettogni is operated by Alex Ulfeldt, a security engineer. Every retained site is built, hosted, and operated by the same person who answers when something breaks. There is no account manager between you and the work, and no ticket queue deciding when your problem matters. Read the full background →
The fair question about any single-operator service is continuity. The architecture answers it. Every site is a static build held in version control, the infrastructure is documented, and the offboarding procedure is written from day one. Your website survives without Dettogni. That is deliberate: an asset that holds you hostage is not an asset.

Start with discovery
Retainers begin
with scoped
discovery.
Dettogni does not sell retainers cold. Every retained engagement begins with a scoped discovery stage, so both sides understand what the work actually looks like before any ongoing commitment is made.
A 20-minute discovery call is the first step. It costs nothing. It will tell you whether Dettogni is the right fit, in both directions.
